Park Details

Six Oaks Park - 305 8th Street S.W. 

The park is handicap accessible and has picnic tables, a small shelter, playground equipment, walking/bike trail, benches and a sitting swing.

 

Trailhead Park / Great River Ridge Trail 

This paved trail is currently 6 miles long with parking in Plainview and Elgin.  Future plans include a dual trail for horse and snowmobile, interpretive signage and a 13 mile expansion to Carley State Park, and links to the Root River Trail and Chester Woods Park.

 

Hillcrest Park - 440 6th Street NW

This small neighborhood park is located in the northwest section of the town. 

  

Southwest Park - 305 1st Street SW

This park is a great area for small picnics. The park has a small covered shelter, picnic tables and charcoal grills.

 

Eckstein Park & Athletic Field - 390 North Wabasha

This park has a swimming pool, 2 shelters, bathrooms, volley ball courts, playground equipment, lighted basketball court, and bleacher seating around a lighted baseball field to enjoy watching our local high school and legion baseball teams as well as our amateur PEM Bucks ball team.

 

Walking Trail at Eckstein Field

The walking trail is one of the most used recreational facilities in the City. The blacktop-paved trail is almost a mile in length and starts at the Eckstein Athletic Field.

 

Wedgewood Park - 210 3rd Street SW

This is Plainview’s oldest park. The park is used primarily for family get-togethers and as a picnic park. The park has a shelter with electricity and lights, bathrooms, handicap accessible playground equipment and large shaded open areas for picnics and games.

 

Eastwood Park - 510 2nd Avenue NE

This park has 2 large picnic shelters (one is lighted with many picnic tables) with electricity and a bathroom.  There is plenty of picnic space along with charcoal grills, a small baseball/softball diamond/soccer field, two tennis/pickleball courts, a sand volleyball court, handicap accessible playground equipment, open skating rink, hockey rink, paved parking lot,  This park is used quite extensively for family picnics on weekends as well as for recreational. 

 

Orchard Hills Park - 295 6th Ave SE

The park is handicap accessible and has picnic tables, a small shelter, playground equipment.

 

The fee to reserve any of our parks is $30.00. 

To reserve a park shelter, download the reservation form and submit to City Hall along with the fee.
